There will be a tour of the tarping technique that Vesper Meadow Restoration Preserve has used as well as the native plant-seeded areas (some going on five years of restored habitat!), plant identification, and a discussion of First Foods (respectful harvest/ restoration). All are welcome, no experience necessary! Difficulty: Moderate (< 2 miles hiking, less than 700 ft’ elevation gain, bending/ kneeling, walking on uneven terrain. Plants we may collect seed from: Seablush, Penstemon, Bistort, California oatgrass, Roemer’s fescue, Mule’s ear Bring: waterbottle, sack lunch, close-toed shoes and pants, sun protection We will provide: snacks, seed collection bags, plant/ seed identification information, and fun!
